I’ve been asked to speak at an event tomorrow at Premier Palace…my contribution is 10 minutes on “Energy Efficiency – The Developers Perspective” which should be fun.
Quite how I will explain in that time that a developer spending money on EE is pointless if the neighbouring scheme spends nothing but simply calls themselves “green” is going to be a challenge.
Public education, corporate responsibility and faith in recognised standards will be needed before EE will take off here. I cant see it happening soon.
Energy is cheap and it is far sexier to show off wealth and profligate waste than to save energy.
